Sean Lee

Los Altos, CA

My name is Sean Lee, and I currently attend Yale University. From an early age, I have always loved problem solving. From Rubik’s cubes to Sudoku, from math to physics, logic puzzles and subjects of rational nature have always intrigued me. During my sophomore year of high school, I developed a strong passion for computer science. I believe that computer science, specifically app development and artificial intelligence, is a powerful tool through which I can not only continue to solve the logic problems that I have always loved, but also design innovative and creative solutions to vital and tangible problems in the real world.

Arya Doshi

Sarasota, FL

My name is Arya Doshi, and I am a junior at Pine View School in Sarasota, Florida. Over the COVID-19 pandemic, I have recognized that body image and eating disorders have become increasingly relevant in the average teenager's mind. Through research, I’ve had the opportunity to find out ethnomedicine around the world treats eating disorders, mental health, and other body-image related issues. Body image is not, as we commonly assume it to be, a “one size fits all” situation. It can look and feel different for individuals based on a multitude of factors such as ethnicity, geographical location, gender and more. On another note, criticisms about your body, whether they are delivered by yourself or people around you, affect your mental and physical health. I hope to spread awareness and educate other teens about health-related issues that stem from these pressures.
